BayWa Mobility Charging:
Simply Charge Green

1/21/25 BayWa Mobility Solutions GmbH, a subsidiary of BayWa AG, is advancing CO2-optimized mobility solutions. As a general contractor, it develops publicly accessible fast-charging parks for well known operators such as EnBW and Vattenfall, thereby supporting the mobility transition in Germany. BayWa Mobility Solutions GmbH has already installed around 3,000 charging points in public and semi-public spaces for its B2B customers.

The company is now leveraging this expertise to launch its own charging hubs under the sub-brand BayWa Mobility Charging. These hubs are powered entirely by renewable energy provided by BayWa r.e. To establish BayWa Mobility Charging in the market with high visibility and brand recognition, the strategy and design agency KMS TEAM developed a new corporate identity.

We have given BayWa Mobility Charging a distinctive brand design that differentiates it both in the charging station market and within the BayWa family.

»We have given BayWa Mobility Charging a distinctive brand design that differentiates it both in the charging station market and within the BayWa family«, explains Johanna Gottschalk, Senior Designer at KMS TEAM. »The new logo combines multiple associations: it resembles a plug, symbolizes friendliness with a smiley, and uses the large ›C‹ to reference charging.«

The modular design includes standardized core elements that flexibly accompany the customer journey, from the app to illuminated signage at the charging hub, providing guidance throughout. BayWa Mobility Charging stays rooted in the parent company's brand identity with its colour scheme: a vibrant forest green as the primary colour, complemented by sky blue and white, conveys the claim »simply charge green«.

The company recently opened its first major charging hub under its own brand in Allershausen near Munich. A standout feature is the price display at the hub’s entrance, offering customers full cost transparency. While this service is standard in traditional gas stations, it is currently implemented at only a few e-mobility locations.

BayWa Mobility Solutions GmbH was established in 2020 as a subsidiary of BayWa AG. As a general contractor, BMS provides comprehensive services in fleet consulting, digital mobility, and planning & construction, driving the expansion of charging infrastructure in Germany. Last year, BMS was awarded the contract for the so-called »Bayern-Los« as part of the Germany Network tender issued by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV). With an investment volume of approximately 15 million euros, 20 BayWa charging parks are set to be built in Bavaria over the next few years to close existing gaps in charging infrastructure.
